Enterprise
Surveillance Management
Countdown Technologies Inc. and
CA Technology Inc. has partnered to deliver a state of the art Enterprise
Surveillance solution. eVision is our team’s digital video surveillance
product, providing the solution of choice for both live and recorded video.
This distributed and powerful system – based on open standards – combines
several unique features:
- Modular Design – the separation of the video
compression hardware from the storage medium (a Windows server) –
provides customers with the option of a distributed wiring topology,
lowering installation and cable costs.
- Multiple “Live” Frame Rates - the industry’s
highest video throughput – provide access to full motion live video
images across multiple channels simultaneously, eliminating the requirement
for costly analog switchers and distribution amps.
- Distributed Access – improves availability
by providing local and remote viewing.
- Concurrency – with multiple image streams
the system accommodates simultaneous viewing of live and recorded
images from multiple clients at multiple frame rates.
- Scalability – from small systems to hundreds
of cameras, providing the option of adding cameras and storage at
a later date.
- Granularity – instant access to live streams
and individual images, providing higher efficiency of use both locally
and across both high- and low-bandwidth networks.
- Easy installation – connect any 8 or 16 cameras
to an image management module, connect the IMM to a TCP/IP network,
and install eVision on any Wintel server from a CD-ROM – reducing
installation headaches and lowering maintenance costs.
Our team’s eVision solutions are
built to utilize our state-of-the-art image management modules (IMMs).
The IMM provides higher aggregate throughput – up to 960 images per second
across 16 channels, higher compression rates – using the latest in wavelet
technology, variable and user controlled image rates and quality, and
a host of other features. Currently two versions of the product are available,
with more to come:
- IMM-16-WR, a 16-channel, rack-mounted, wavelet
compression appliance.
- IMM-8-WR, an 8-channel, rack-mounted, wavelet
compression appliance.

TollVision
TollVision is an enterprise application, based on our team’s industry-leading
eVision technology that integrates digital video images and transaction
data from tolling and transportation systems. Developed together with
eTransit, a supplier of software and solutions to the electronic tolling
industry, the TollVision solution helps management oversee toll operations,
and is utilized by operations and loss prevention specialists as well
as financial auditors. The application combines video images with transaction
data captured from the toll transaction systems, and makes both images
and data accessible to clients across a network. |
